WATCH: Seahawks LB Boye Mafe pays a heartfelt tribute to his late mother who passed away because of
A heart-touching moment for the NFL crowds as Boye Mafe the linebacker (LB) for the Seattle Seahawks expressed his love and gratitude to his late mother in sign language before the Monday Night Football (MNF). His mother was battling cancer and passed away on Mother’s-Day. It was a sign of gratitude from the son who misses his mother every day.
The moment made the crowd sad. Not only the crowd but also the NFL officials and others who were present on the ground felt sad about what happened to the player’s life. It is an unbearable suffering that the LB has been going through and consolation often falls short in situations like these. Everyone is hoping that will pass and the LB will come around from the pain he has been going through.
Coming to the football match, the Seattle Seahawks registered a handsome win against the New York Giants. All thanks to the defense of the Seahawks. They had the Giants’ number so much that the latter was only confined to three points. They sacked the quarterback of the Giants, Daniel Jones, 10 times in the game which helped them to get a much-needed victory. The Giants on the other hand continued with their poor run in the league this season as they registered only one victory in four games.
It was a night of utter frustration for Daniel Jones who failed to create any threat to the opponent box. He has not been at his best as the player also failed to do anything significant in their season opener vs. the Cowboys. The Giants did not grab a single point against the Dallas Cowboys.
Boye Mafe’s performance this season
Boye Mafe has been improving day by day and the improvement is reflected on the pitch. Against the Giants, he was astonishingly good as he registered two tackles (one solo) and one sack. Overall, the player has registered 6 SOLOs and two sacks.
After the game, Jones gave full credit to the defense as he said “I mean give credit to their defense. They rush hard and play well together, but I’ve got to do a better job getting through my reads, getting the ball out of my hand, and making quick decisions, so I’ll definitely look to work on that.”
He could give credit to the defense but that does not change the fact that the Giants are suffering from offensive inabilities. The team needs to work on that.
