Shoshone County man released from hospital after getting struck with an axe
SHOSHONE COUNTY, Idaho (CBS2) — On Monday, around 9:49 a.m., Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a report of a male that had been struck in the head with an axe. The incident occurred at a residence in the 300 block of High Bank in Wallace.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Shoshone Medical and quickly flown to Kootenai Hospital where hewas later released on Wednesday.The victim's wife, also a victim of the incident, took action against the attacker which most likely saved the life of her husband.
The suspect, 39-year-old Nicholas D. Johnson was found at the scene nude, taken into custody without incident. Charges will be requested.
