Aston Villa women’s team star Alisha Lehmann insists that she has much more to offer to the sport than just being a social media influencer. The 24-year-old striker has recently gained many followers on social media since arriving at Villa Park in 2021. The Swiss footballer has over 6.5 million followers on Tiktok, and over 11.8 million on Instagram.

It’s not something where I wake up every day and think, Oh My God, I have so many followers,” Alisha Lehmann via talkSPORT.
“I would like to show the world that women can actually do it in football. You don’t need to be just normal. You can also be a bit crazy. Just be you and use your personality to show the world who you are,” Lehmann exclaimed further. “I’m a proper footballer. I work hard every day. I want to be the best version of myself in football. That is really my first priority in life,” she added.

The 24-year-old footballer has played for various clubs including West Ham United, Everton, and YB Frauen in her career. She made her professional debut in 2016 and has played over 166 games ever since. She has also been consistently efficient in front of the goal as she has found the net 66 times in her career.
Alisha Lehmann made her international debut for the Swiss national team in 2017. After a slow start to her international campaign, she has now become one of the most important players on the Switzerland roster. She has scored seven goals in 36 appearances for Switzerland.
