Dmitry continued to prove his dominance in the light heavyweight division, this time, against another undefeated fighter, Gilberto Ramirez. Dmitry Bivol had fans gasping for breath after brutally roasting his barber. Before his bout with Gilberto Ramirez, Bivol was busy doing media rounds and rigorous training. The whole preparation was captured by Matchroom Boxing and is out on YouTube. During the video, Bivol is seen getting a haircut in Abu Dhabi, when all of a sudden his barber asks a bit personal question.
The statement from the clip has gone viral and fans can’t seem to get enough of it. Fans are split hearing Bivol’s response, but some argue that it was simply broken English instead of a witty reply.
Regardless, Bivol went on to defeat the undefeated Gilberto Ramirez and retained his WBA title. Bivol hopes of becoming the undisputed champion in the lightweight division in the near future. However, his are put on hold due to the WBC removing Russian fighters from their rankings. Bivol has gone out and called WBC’s decision unfair and is looking into the Canelo rematch for the time being.
